Chaga (Inonotus obliquus) is a beneficial mushroom that is mostly found in the Northern Hemisphere. The mushroom mainly grows on beech trees and does well in cold climates such as Canada, Siberia and Northern Europe. From the outside, the Chaga looks like a piece of burnt wood or coal. However, it is orange on the inside, which in combination with its beneficial effects has earned it the nickname black gold in Russia.
